I will trounce President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017, says Moses Wetang’ula

Eldoret, Kenya: Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula on Sunday said he will defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 General Election if backed by co-partners Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mr Wetang’ula said he is capable of giving the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) victory and asked Mr Raila and Mr Musyoka to back him for the presidency.

Speaking in Kitale when he opened a county party office, the senator said he is ready to face Uhuru at the ballot and is optimistic of winning the contest.

He claimed the Jubilee administration had lost the confidence of Kenyans due to rampant corruption and bad leadership.

“The Jubilee leadership has let Kenyans down by fueling corruption.

‘The opposition is ready to provide alternative leadership and I’m optimistic of carrying the day should my brothers in CORD support my bid,” said Wetang’ula.
