Quarry operators appeal for improved roads

Quarry operators in Mavoko Constituency, Machakos County have appealed to the Government to improve local roads. They also urge the government to contain the increasing number of investors in residential property who have invaded land set aside for quarrying.

The operators singled out the 25 kilometres Mlolongo-Katani-Kamulu road which passes through more than 30 quarries in the area, and which is their main link to markets in Ruiri, Utawala, Tala and Kangundo as one that requires immediate attention.
