Kisii OCPD's son realises exam dream

KISII: For Clinton Muguai, a former student at St Mary's Boys Secondary School, it had to take a call to his father and Kisii OCPD Richard Mwangi to know his results.

The 17-year-old was at his parents' home in Karandi village in Kieni, Nyeri County when the results were released.

"I had sent my index numbers to the short message service number provided by the Kenya National Examinations Council but unfortunately, I had not received my results," he said. In a bid to ease the tension, he took a walk to Kimahuri Shopping Centre.

"I started making frantic calls to my former candidates, three of whom informed me they scored As. I then decided to call my dad,  who informed me that had I scored an A," he said.

Muguai, who had a mean score of 83 points, said he achieved what he wanted because his target was between 83 and 84 points.

"I want to pursue Bachelor of Medicine in Surgery and I am sure I will come back to my humble village and give back to them," he said.
