We live in a world where musicians churn out music on a daily basis with some making a hefty livelihood off it. After making the music, the next task is often to market and circulate the music far and wide, so they can amass fans.
Enter the deejays, who play quite a handy role in circulating this music in clubs, weddings, street mixes and many other avenues where the musicians would be too busy to reach.
However, despite the publicity, most musicians overlook the role deejays play. Hardly do they take time to pass their appreciation.
Recently Jamaican star Jah cure (famous for “All of me- reggae rendition”) took time to thank Kenya’s finest, deejay Mfalme for playing his music on Kenyan radio.
An elated Joe Mfalme shared the message across his social media pages and we can only wait to see how many more local and international stars will be appreciating deejays for playing their tunes.
