Nairobi, Kenya: The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Disciplinary Committee has summoned party members who are supporting candidates of rival parties.

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Karachuonyo MP James Rege among those summoned for campaigning for candidates rivaling ODM flag bearers,” said Disciplinary Committee Chair Fred Athuok.

Athuok said party discipline is key and reminded members to follow party constitution.

“They have to tell us when those parties they are supporting conducted their nominations,” said Athuok.

The summonses come in the wake of heated campaigns to fill the vacant Homa Bay Senate seat left vacant following the death of Otieno Kajwang late last year.
