Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario will on Thursday launch this year’s National Youth Talent Academy selection exercise, where a number of players in six disciplines will be considered. The disciplines are football, volleyball, athletics, rugby, chess and badminton. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Technical Director Jacob Mule, who will be in charge of football, has asked all talented players below 20 years, to turn up for the exercise.
“We are giving a chance to those who have finished school and are under-20,” he said.

CAF: Gor Mahia submit thin squad for ties

Gor have submitted a slim squad of 23 players to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters ahead of their Africa Champions League assignments. The club’s deputy Secretary General, Ronald Ngala, said they had to submit a slim squad due to the stringent deadline. Players who are missing from the continental squad, but are included in the club’s local list include Innocent Wafula, signed from Chemelil Sugar, and Ernest Wendo from National Super League side, Bidco. The duo joined the club after the January 15 CAF deadline and so it was impossible for them to be drafted in the 23-man squad.
