Western Kenya Sports Forum Director Bob Agwanda has called for an end to the current wrangles in football management.

Agwanda pointed out that the disagreement between Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Kenyan Premier League (KPL) does not augur well for development of football in the country.

Speaking while distributing football and uniforms to Kisumu West Constituency teams, Agwanda asked the two bodies to dwell on issues that will led to the development of the sport.

"The two bodies are wrangling about a broadcast deal whose contents only a few people are privy to as opposed to key football stakeholders," he added.

He said it was not necessary to involve Fifa officials in determining the number of teams to take part in the 2015 top league.

He also took issue with Nyanza FKF branch for doing little to develop the sport in their region. He blamed the branch for only being keen to rubber stamp the decisions of the national office.

"I always see the branch officials when there is a Kenyan Premier League match at Moi Stadium or when FKF officials are in town. They have abdicated their mandate and should resign and pave way for those who have interest of developing the sport in Nyanza," he charged.
