Glitz and glam at actress Kawira's white wedding

Jokes aside, hers was a glitzy and glamorous affair as she stepped out in a bejeweled white wedding gown and walked right into her new husbands arms.

Joy Karambu, popularly known as ‘Kawira’ thanks to her role on Papa Shirandula where she plays the Gakoromone school-girl role, tied the knot last weekend at the KEFRI grounds Nairobi where friends and family gathered to see them celebrate their new matrimony.

One of the media personalities Kenny Kaburu expressed pride in the couple sating “Mapenzi ni kama kikohozi, hayafichiki, we are glad to be part of this new union”

Albeit keenly keeping her love life undercover for quite a while, it eventually became public knowledge that she was set to have a white wedding a few weeks to the said date.

With a bridal line-up that showcased a bevy of beauties in pink gowns and the best men in electric blue sharp suits, the party held their reception at the KEFRI (Kenya Forestry Research Institute) grounds amidst dance and ululations.

An evidently joyous Karambu was glad to be the wife of Ephantus Wahome who is a Kenyan gospel artiste, famous for the Safari hit single. Perhaps these two met in the showbiz circles, and they sure looked happy as a couple.

The Meru FM fraternity to which she works as a presenters all came out to support their own.

Dj Patches one of her co-workers was glad to be at the wedding saying;

 “Kawira is like a small sister to me and we as the Meru fraternity are proud of what she has done and the milestones she has achieved not only in her career but love life as well”

Fellow celebrities and media were present to cover the glorious occasion and we at SDE wish the newly married couple bliss and prosperity in their marriage.
