All Stars, City Stars and KCB in final relegation push

Even as competition at the top of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) log heats up this weekend, battle for survival also goes a notch higher with KCB, Nakuru All Stars and Nairobi City Stars all keen to survive.
Bottom of the table, All Stars will need a miracle to survive as they travel to Kisumu to take on Western Stima on Saturday.
Despite their latest 0-0 tie against Bandari last weekend, All Stars remain at the bottom of the log on 17 points and can only survive if they win all their remaining matches and KCB lose all.
This seems impossible though in a game of football, anything can happen. It has been a tough nine months for the newcomers and one hopes they will go down with some vital lessons.
Still, despite their hopeless position, they will be determined to go down with some dignity and picking a positive result away this weekend should do it.
All Stars face a team smarting from a 3-0 loss to Ulinzi Stars last weekend and are determined to finish among the top eight.
Stima coach Henry Omino must find a way to motivate his players in this match and will be glad to be playing in a familiar ground.
The other relegation battle goes to Mombasa County Stadium on Sunday, where Bandari host KCB.
With three matches to go, Bandari have already ensured survival, but they must win to finish in a respectable position. The porters have performed poorly compared to last season when they finished sixth on the log. It is unclear why they have not been able to maintain the same performance as last season.
