Stop inciting, Senator Kimani Wamatangi Wamatangi tells CORD

Senator Kimani Wamatangi has called on the CORD team spearheading the Okoa Kenya movement to stop inciting Kenyans.

The senator accused the team, led by their leader Raila Odinga, of inciting coastal people by telling them they were landless because their land was grabbed by people in Government.

“A CORD leader told the people at the Coast on Sunday that their land was grabbed, that is why they are landless. This is tantamount to inciting voters and should be stopped,” said Mr Wamatangi.

The Jubilee senator was speaking on the Morning Express show hosted by KTN yesterday.

He said the referendum push was not about helping Kenyans but an individual.

“All CORD is trying to do is remain politically relevant. They should not lie to Kenyans that the referendum will help them because what Kenyans want is development,” said Wamatangi.

The senator urged CORD leaders to be careful with their political utterances as Kenyans did not want to return to the dark old days of political intolerance.

He condemned a recent incident in Makueni where area Governor Kivutha Kibwana stormed a meeting that ended in gun drama that left five people wounded.
