Teachers set good example by obeying court orders

The teachers were patriotic for ending the strike and they have shown consideration for the examination candidates.

Ending the strike implies that the children of can now sit examinations in peace.

But the manner in which the Government handled the strike raises more queries than answers. Coming when the Kenya shilling continues to depreciate against the dollar due to overspending on unsustainable projects, raises queries of integrity, transparency and accountability.

From national to county governments, the issue of spending is the talk of the day as poor and hardworking citizens earns as low as Sh16,000 compared to some who are paid over Sh2 million.

Kenyans are in pain when a wheelbarrow is bought at Sh109,000 and a simple gate costs Sh7 million. The national debt continues to rise each day.

According to reports, Kenyans have stashed Sh64b in secret Swiss accounts.
