FOOTBALL: Baraza not retiring any time soon

Four-time Kenyan Premier League golden-boot winner and Sofapaka striker John Baraza has quashed reports suggesting that he is planning to retire at end of the season. The 37-year-old forward has been phenomenal for Batoto Ba Mungu this season, scoring seven league goals for the 2nd-placed side. After hitting a brace in Sofapaka’s 3-2 win over Administration Police in Gotv Shield quarter-finals, the former Kenyan international was quick to refute talk of his retirement. “I am still very strong and scoring goals as usual. Age is just but a number and I will continue playing as long as my body holds up,” he said.
