Atlanta-based Kenyan rapper Danny Kay’s new music video, Raised from Hell, has caused a lot of problems, first at the location shoot with the intervention from the police officers who were misled by the neighbors’ misconception of the whole video concept.
Thereafter the release of the official video has not been received well by some people questioning the authority of Candy n Candy records to touch on child molestation.
Responding to critics, Candy n Candy CEO, Mr. Joe Kariuki, said, “we are here to teach, to speak on behalf of those that have been affected and to create awareness on the matter.”
According the video, 94% of child rape victims under the age of 12 are abused by a family member or an acquaintance/friend. Additionally, more than one in three children, who experience contact sexual abuse by an adult do not tell anyone else about it.
