Kisumu, Kenya: Police in Kisumu are searching for a minor who killed his 23-year old brother over Sh70.

The 17 year-old from Kisumu County’s Kakoth Village in Seme was alleged to have hit his brother Erick Odhiambo on Saturday night on the neck using a machete, killing him instantly.

County Police Commandant David Ng’etich said witnesses recounted the two brothers engaged in a sharp verbal exchange before getting physical.

He said Odhiambo was alleged to have owed his brother but had no money to refund him when the brother demanded for it. Siblings who responded to the commotion were shocked to find Odhiambo lying in a pool of blood within their compound, with deep panga cuts on the neck and the suspected murderer having escaped.

In another incident, a man and his wife have been admitted at New Nyanza Provincial Hospital and Kisumu East District Hospital respectively after a domestic fight.
