Why the cheating Embu pastor is howling the last laugh

By Peter Kimani

Kenya: Anthony Maina is a very brave man. The Embu pastor exposed for preying on his own faithful – the woman and her husband had sought his counsel after they experienced domestic strife – thanked journalists who busted him for saving him from committing “worse things”.

I have no idea what kind of things the man of God had in mind, for he appeared to be a gracious host, having sought room service for the delivery of tea and fruit as he contemplated committing “worse things”.

For a man of unbridled passions, the love rat was extremely patient; he was fully dressed when the cuckolded man arrived at his doorstep.

It is the unfaithful wife who was in a state of undress, and so must have been grateful for the scuffle that followed, allowing her a window of opportunity to put her clothes back on.

The cuckolded man vowed he and his wife were done; it is the pastor who appeared to have the last laugh as his wife rallied supportively around him, equating his sexual exploits to soldiery perils. Now that he was back home, he needed support, not condemnation.

That makes perfect sense, especially when his ministry isn’t just about saving souls but also providing bread and butter for his family.
