Machakos, Kenya: The late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo will be buried at his Kwa Kyelu ranch in Maanzoni, Machakos County next week.

Family spokesman and brother-in-law Chris Musau said Mutula will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 9.

“The family has decided the late Mutula’s remains will be buried at his farm and not his Mbooni rural home,” he told The Standard on phone.

Chris said funeral and burial arrangement meetings will take place at Milimani AIC in Nairobi from Tuesday.

Meanwhile, former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has sent his condolence message to the family of the late senator, adding that he was saddened by the sudden death.

He lamented that whoever could be responsible for the former cabinet minister’s death stands condemned.

“If by any chance someone is behind the untimely death of Mutula, then he or she will not benefit from his death in any way whatsoever”, added a visibly angry Kalembe.

He called for thorough investigations into his death which has left the entire country in utter shock and disbelief.
