Standard Group journalists feted for health stories

Standard Group health journalists were feted in Nakuru during the story festival organised by Internews.

KTN’s Anne Soy was the winner in health reporting. In the category of best television health story, Soy was recognised for her account that touched on a discordant couple in Alego, Siaya, which was aired on KTN recently.

She also emerged the first runners-up in the documentary, Aids: The Reemerging Trend. Soy’s story on two gay sex workers: Maffle Killer won in this category. She has been nominated for the Africonnet awards in November in Arusha.

KTN’s Saida Swaleh was also the first runner-up in the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision category. In the print category, The Standard reporter Dan Okoth was the first runners-up with his story, Cutting Corners to Import Narcotics.
