Marende rejects Kazi Kwa Vijana audit reports

House Speaker Kenneth Marende has rejected two documents tabled in Parliament over the alleged financial scandal involving the Kazi Kwa Vijana project fund, which is under the Office of the Prime Minister.

The move comes as Prime Minister Raila Odinga prepares to address Parliament on the alleged misappropriation of the funds by officers in his office. Marende said the documents, one tabled by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government Musalia Mudavadi, and another by Ikolomani MP Bonny Khalwale were inadmissible.
