Edward Snowden wins UK university role

London, England: Edward Snowden, the former US National Security Agency analyst who revealed US surveillance of phone and Internet communications, was elected rector of Glasgow University in Scotland on Tuesday.

The analyst was nominated by a group of students at the university who said they had received his approval through his lawyer.
