Today was the first day of exams for nearly seven hundred and fifty thousand standard eight pupils around the country. No major hiccups were reported as the Kenya certificate of primary education exams began with the traditional mathematics paper. At mid-morning students sat the English grammar exam before returning in the afternoon to write an English composition. Most candidates interviewed by Ktn were confident the papers had gone well.
