Kikuyu Benga musician Jane Nyambura, popularly known as Queen Jane will finally be buried at her parents home in Murang'a after a court battle that lasted over two months. Thika senior resident magistrate, Barbara Owino, ruled that James Kariuki, who wanted the court to grant him the right to bury Queen Jane claiming that she was his wedded wife, had failed to prove evidence of a legal marriage between them. Kariuki says he will appeal against the ruling that has also ordered him to pay the mortuary charges.
