It will take at least one year before Kenyans can enjoy the benefits of dual citizenship as envisaged in the new constitution. While Kenyans in the Diaspora have been waiting for the introduction of this clause, parliament will have to pass legislations to seal security loopholes and also ensure foreigners are carefully vetted before being granted dual citizenship to ward off criminals.
