Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been arrested whilst on holiday in Mykonos, according to local Greek news reports. After being knocked out of the Europa League in the semi-finals against Sevilla last week, the England international headed to the Greek island to relax before the new Premier League season.
But Greek newspaper Proto Thema report that he was detained after an incident outside a bar on Thursday night and local police have now issued a statement. "The soccer player was verbally abusive to an officer and then hit him," a police official said. "The three were resisting when brought to the Mykonos police station.”
