Since marrying her prince and becoming a member of the Royal Family, the Duchess of Cambridge has been treated to some very, very fancy presents.

There's no exchanging of Marks & Spencer blouses or chutney sets at Kensington Palace on special occasions, and Kate gets to open far more lavish gifts.

Loving husband William has given her a number of very special pieces of jewellery, including a thoughtful rose gold ring with hidden detail and his mother Princess Diana's engagement ring.

The Queen has also given Kate a number of extremely generous presents over the years, including more jewellery and property.

We've taken a look back at some of the fanciest things she's been given...

1. Princess Diana's engagement

Arguably her first bit of regal bling, Kate's engagement ring is now believed to be priceless due to its historical significance.

Once belonging to Princess Diana, it's made up of a band featuring a 12-carat sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds and set in 18-carat white gold, and spawned countless imitations.

2. Rose gold ring

Kate's engagement ring was far from the first piece of jewellery from Wills, and one of the other special pieces from their courtship was a simple rose gold ring.

The band is detailed with pearls and garnets - Kate and William's birthstones.

She famously wore it to their graduation ceremony, which was attended by Prince Charles as well as the Middleton family.

3. The Cartier Ballon Bleu watch

Traditionally, your third wedding anniversary symbol used to be leather. Then it got updated to glass or crystal.

Not if you're royal though.

For her third wedding anniversary in 2014, William gave Kate the Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch.

Set with tiny sapphires, it matches her engagement ring - also another high-rent gift - and also has echoes of Princess Diana, who loved Cartier watches.

The stunning silver watch is described by Cartier as "Floating like a balloon and as blue as the sapphire safely nestled in its side, the Ballon Bleu watch by Cartier adds a dash of elegance to male and female wrists alike".

4. Anmer Hall from the Queen

This one will put every gift you've ever received in the shade.

As the ultimate wedding present, the Queen gave Kate and William their very own stately home. No scrimping and saving to get on the property ladder for this couple.

Set on the Queen's Sandringham estate, Anmer Hall boasts ten bedrooms, a swimming pool and private tennis court and was recently refurbished to the tune of several millions of pounds.

5. A white and yellow diamond jewellery set from Prince Charles

Proving she's very much "in there" with her in-laws, Kate received a set of art deco diamond jewellery as a wedding gift in 2011 from Prince Charles.

It features a white and yellow diamond bracelet, earrings and ring, all of which Kate has been seen in on several occasions.

6. A charm bracelet from the Duchess of Cornwall

Lucky Kate must need a vault for all of her baubles.

As another wedding gift - this time from the Duchess of Cornwall - Kate received a gold link charm bracelet with some very sweet details.

It features a gold disc engraved with a C for Catherine and a coronet on one side, and a crown and C for Camilla on the other.

7. Sapphire and diamond earrings from Prince William

We know they married for love, but Kate's wedding proved to be pretty lucrative for her!

Around the time of their nuptials in 2011, William gave Kate a pair of matching sapphire and diamond earrings, which she then customised into drop earrings and debuted them on her tour of Canada.

8. Green amethyst earrings from William

Clearly a generous spouse, for their first Christmas as a married couple, William gifted Kate a pair of green amethyst earrings from one of her favourite designers, Kiki McDonough.

The earrings are surrounded by diamonds and set in 18-carat yellow gold, and Kate wore them for the first time for the church service on Christmas Day in 2011.

9. Her wedding and eternity rings from William

Kate wears three rings on her wedding ring finger - her engagement ring, a wedding ring and an eternity ring.

Like all women in the Royal Family, Kate's wedding ring is made from Welsh gold.

Many believe her eternity ring was a 'push present' from Wills after Prince George was born in 2013.

10. Royal Victorian Order cross and sash

Perhaps the most historic gift the Queen has handed Kate is her Royal Victorian Order sash and star.

The Queen appointed Kate as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order on her and Prince William's eighth wedding anniversary.

Awards under the Royal Victorian Order are made personally by the Queen, and not on the recommendations of Downing Street unlike many of the others she hands out.

It is likely the honour recognises Kate's work over the past eight years as a member of the monarchy.

She has championed her own causes like supporting the early years development of children, travelled the Commonwealth on behalf of the Queen and raised awareness about mental health with William and Prince Harry.

She wore the sash for the first time for the State Banquet held in honour of Donald Trump's visit in 2019.

Kate also wears the Royal Family Order, a yellow ribbon featuring a small portrait of the Queen awarded to members of the Royal Family.
