Itumbi piles pressure on telco giant to reveal identity of man who erased Kenei’s phone data

Dennis Itumbi has piled pressure on a leading telecommunication company that was mentioned in Kipyegon Kenei’s murder case saying they should come clean.

Itumbi said that according to the DCI, a staff member at the said company helped three people erase data from the phone of the deceased.

“DCI says one of your staff members helped some THREE people erase data from his phone.

“Who is that? Why are you still holding up this person?” asked Itumbi.

Itumbi also reacted to CCTV footage shared by DCI George Kinoti regarding what happened at the Deputy President’s office during the fire arms scandal.

He, however, said the video does not give information regarding Kenei’s killers.

“The Fact is Echesa and co. Were inside Harambee Annex for 23 Min. ( Fact confirmed by @DCI_Kenya- attached). But the question is why is it important how long it took?

“How does it help us know Who Killed Kenei? Why is whoever who did it free?” he asked.

Deputy President William Ruto on Friday called for speedy investigations into the murder of Kenei who worked at his Harambee Annex office.

Ruto said the DCI should reveal Kenei’s killers’ and the motive, not leaving out the manner he was killed.

The DP termed recent actions by media houses regarding the case as distortions that are aimed at tarnishing people’s reputations.

“The drama, distortions, convenient half-truths and the smear campaigns in sponsored headlines amounts to criminal cover up,” said the DP through a tweet.
