SUMMARY

Speaking during a church service in Embu, the legislator warned those who do not see the DP as one of them to wake before it is too late.

“Wanaonanga makamu wa rais wanadhani he is just an individual, wanasahau he is just a symbol of sisi sote ambao tulienda shule bila viatu. Ile siku watagundua it will be too late for them” stated Kuria.

Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria on Sunday, February 23, 2020, described Deputy President William Ruto as a representation of Kenyans who went to school without shoes.

Loosely translates to “They see the Deputy President and think he is just an individual and forget he is a symbol of those who went to school without shoes ”.

Kuria, among other politicians allied to DP Ruto, has been on the front line to criticize the manner in which matters involving the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) have been handled.

In one of the rallies, in Kitui, Kuria was momentarily mishandled after the area governor Charity Ngilu called for his ejection from the event.

The Kitui Governor explained that the Gatundu Legislator was disrespectful to the President.

Kuria had made unsuccessful attempts to gain access to the dais after which he decided to use another route when the Kitui Governor made the statement.

It was the statement that got Kuria roughed up and pushed out of the area.

However, he eventually gained access to the dais.
