Beyonce and Jay-Z's eldest daughter has received all their musical genes, it seems.

At just eight years old, Blue Ivy has made it past the hallmark of one million monthly Spotify listeners.

The A-lister pairing's eldest, Blue recently collaborated with her mum on Brown Skin Girl, one of the tracks from The Lion King: The Gift, an album that accompanied last year's photorealistic remake of the classic film.

She also featured on Beyonce's track Blue, as well as dad Jay-Z's Legacy and Blue's Freestyle/We Family.

At just two days old, she appeared on his single Glory - marking her entry into the musical hall of fame as the youngest person to ever appear on the Billboard chart.

Born in just 2012, Blue Ivy is already shaping up to be a remarkable presence in the industry.

Showbiz's number one couple added to their brood in 2017 with the birth of twins Rumi and Sir.

The pair were recently hit by allegations that they'd disrespected the American flag as they stayed seated during a Superbowl performance of the American National Anthem.

Out at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami with Blue Ivy, they remained in their seats as Demi Lovato belted out The Star-Spangled Banner.

The Flag Code, taken very seriously across the pond, states that anyone present should stand and face the flag while it is playing.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Jay (real name Shawn Carter) denied that he and his wife were staging a protest.

When asked, he replied: "It actually wasn't. Sorry. It really wasn't."

He had produced all musical performances during the Superbowl as part of his deal with the NFL as the "live music entertainment strategist."

There was speculation that they were staging a protest similar to that of Colin Kaepernick, who famously kneeled during the Anthem in protest at racial inequality in the US.

Kaepernick has been without a team since 2017.
