Babu unleashes his religious side

Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is currently in remand over the shooting Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve at B Club on Galana Road in Nairobi last week.

For the past few days, Babu has unleashed his religious side and his most recent posts have revolved around God and His mercy.

Although netizens have bashed him for double standards, the legislator maintains that he is covered by the precious blood.

On Tuesday, the MP uploaded a photo where he was deep in prayer on his knees and captioned it ‘Covered by the blood of Jesus.’

He later shared a post by renowned TV host Steve Harvey and wrote ‘God has a purpose for each one of us.’

The MP’s posts were met with a number of stinging comments but he recently urged the public to wait for his side of the story.

“I urge Kenyans to wait for my side of the story of what happened when I come from my new home at Industrial area prison.

 “I also need Justice and it must be served to me. Meanwhile these are occupational hazards,” he remarked.

Just hours after his arrest, Babu said the incident was a culmination of a series of death threats that he has been receiving since 2019.

He said that was enjoying the company of his friends on Friday morning when a large group of ‘aggressive individuals’ surrounded them.

According to him, a melee ensued and there was exchange of gunfire.
