DCI arrests Administration Police Constable for stealing a solar panel

According to the DCI, the suspect, identified as Francis Wafula allegedly stole a Solar panel belonging to a resident of Oloosirikona.

The DCI stated that it was after the victim passed information to them of the occurrence that they launched investigations.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday, December 21, 2019, arrested an Administration Police Constable suspected of theft in Isinya, Kajiado County.

According to the DCI, the suspect, identified as Francis Wafula allegedly stole a Solar panel belonging to a resident of Oloosirikona.

The DCI stated that it was after the victim passed information to them of the occurrence that they launched investigations.

They further explained that detectives stormed the Constable’s house where they recovered the Solar Panel and arrested the suspect.


“@APSKenya Constable Francis WAFULA attached to Lafey, Mandera County, was yesterday arrested in Isinya, Kajiado County for stealing a Solar Panel belonging to a resident of Oloosirikona”

“Acting on an alarm raised by the victim that an unknown man had stormed into his compound and made away with the property”

“@DCI_Kenya Detectives rushed to his residence whereupon they arrested the suspect and recovered the said Solar Panel from him”

The suspect is currently in custody awaiting arraignment for the offense of stealing.
