Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial netted to put another dent on Manchester City's Premier League title hopes.

Manchester United striker Rashford opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after a breathless opening from the Red Devils.

The England hit man was fouled in the box by Bernardo Silva, with VAR awarding a penalty after on-field referee Anthony Taylor had waved away the claims - before Rashford picked himself up to convert.

It was Rashford's 13th goal in his last 14 appearances for club and country.

Six minutes later, Frenchman Martial doubled United's advantage with a smart finish to beat City's Brazilian keeper Ederson at his near post.

Nicolas Otamendi pulled one back for City late on but they couldn't stop United.

The victory has revived Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side's hopes of qualifying for the top four, after their victory over Tottenham in mid-week - while City are now 14 points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the table.
