Murkomen quotes Bible verse after being booed at Bomas during BBI launch

Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen on Wednesday 27 November took to his Twitter handle to quote a Bible verse minutes after he was booed at the Bomas of Kenya during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

During his speech, Murkomen, while addressing President Uhuru Kenyatta, said that the program (BBI launch) was biased alluding that people with different options were left out.

"We must have an honest discussion, even the way Junet you are running the program, we must have an honest discussion about it. Your Excellency, it would be a lie for me to leave this stage without saying that this program has been skewed to leave out people with different opinions," said Murkomen.

His sentiments saw him booed by a number of people who wanted him off the stage. It took the intervention of the Chairman of the BBI Team, Yusuf Haji to calm down the crowd.

Minutes after the unfortunate incident, Murkomen took to his social media handle and quoted a Bible verse on truth.

“Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free John 8:32” said Murkomen.

A number of people, however, took to his comment section and praised him for being brave and speaking the truth.

Hold your head high senator. I felt your pain. How do you build bridges without listening to dissent? Some goons masquerading as leaders invaded Bomas to settle political scores now that they don't have a punching bag in the name of Tanga Tanga opposing BBI.
