Man throws stone at shopkeeper who refused to sell him 'KDF'

A man was on Thursday, October 17, arraigned at the Makadara law courts after he aimed a stone at a shopkeeper who refused to sell him a Kenyan delicacy commonly known as ‘KDF’.

Appearing before Chief magistrate Heston Nyaga, the man was accused of causing disturbance by throwing a stone to Eunice Njeru in her shop.

This incident took place on Saturday, October 5, 2019.

The suspect identified as Naftali Njora pleaded guilty to the accusations and claimed that Njeru lied to him that she did not have the delicacy in her shop.

He further admitted that he spotted the 'KDF' and tried to grab them which prompted the seller to try and stop him.

It was at that point when he picked the stone from outside the shop, hurled it at Njeru and missed.

The Chief Magistrate ordered that he be remanded and await probation officers who will interview him.

This will be done on October 31, 2019, after which a report will be tabled before he is sentenced.
