A KCPE candidate who went missing on Wednesday morning has been found dead.
The body of the girl identified as Sharon Adhiambo of Hexapeak Academy in Ndhiwa Sub-county was found in a maize plantation at Malela Village, Kakaketa sub-location when she was abducted on her way to school.
Residents found her body on Thursday evening, and reported the matter to the area chief. Ndhiwa Sub-county Police Commander Evans Ombui said they suspect the teenager was defiled then strangled.
“The body had no visible injuries but we suspect the minor was defiled before her death,” Ombui said.
