Married man strangles lover, buries body in concrete after she demanded that he leaves his wife

A married man strangled his lover, set her body alight and buried it in concrete after she demanded that he leave his wife for her.

Vasily Mangoshvili, 31, has been sentenced to nine years in a prison colony over the killing of his mistress Tatiana Mukhorotova, 24, in October of last year.

The glamorous widow had struck up a relationship with the man after meeting him online on a Russian social media site.

He murdered her after inviting her to his home for sex when his wife was away, say court reports.

The widow - who has three young children - apparently threatened to tell the man’s wife about their affair when he refused to walk out on his marriage.

This led to a "furious argument" in which she was beaten and then strangled to death.

“When the woman stopped fighting back, he threw her body into a well, covered it with crushed rock and concrete,” said a local report.

The killer set the corpse on fire before disposing of it in the well in Alexeyevskoye village in southern Russia, according to another report.

An alarm was raised by her concerned mother when she failed to return from her online date with the local man.

“He rang her and asked her to come to his place,” she said.

“This is where he beat her up. She had fractures and there were signs of asphyxia. After that he set her body on fire.”

The grieving mother said her daughter had no hair or eyebrows when her body was removed from the well, and the concrete removed.

“I couldn't believe it was her,” she said.

“I don't know why he tortured my daughter like this.”

Her mobile was found next to her body in the well shaft.

A local report said: “The woman had threatened she would tell his wife about (their relationship), after that they had an argument.

“The man grabbed her throat and started strangling her.”

The woman was murdered in October last year and a court has now convicted Mangoshvili.

In handcuffs, Mangoshvili had shown police the crime scene and confessed to killing the young mother and hiding her body.

Tatiana had a son, five, and two daughters aged three and eight months.
