Matatu driver blames traffic police for destroying his genitals

43-year-old Ernest Nyamoti has been left fuming after a Nairobi Court this week acquitted a police officer accused of assaulting him in 2013.

The former matatu driver disclosed that he was arrested over a traffic offence in 2013 and police officers beat him up, severely damaging his private parts.

Nyamoti’s testicles were so badly damaged that they had to be removed and he cannot sire children.

“Where is justice in this country? What more evidence would the magistrate want? I’m alive and the doctors testified in my favour, explaining that my testicles were smashed and later removed?

“I no longer have sexual feelings and I have no chance of fathering a child,” he said.

The driver said he spent around Sh 1.4 million on treatment that later saw his testicles removed.

Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot stated that the prosecution had failed to prove the case against the accused, Constable Jamal Hussein.

“After evaluating the evidence tabled in court, l find the prosecution has not established a prima facie case against the accused and I, therefore, acquit him under Section 210 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” ruled the magistrate.
