Why Kingi has dedicated this reggae song to Aisha Jumwa

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi over the weekend dedicated a reggae song to Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa following an incident where she forced ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna off-stage.

Kingi stated that Jumwa has every right to be mad due to the troubles she has been facing in ODM but urged her to keep a cool head.

“Hon Aisha you have every right to be angry as a politician but you need to use the appropriate channels to vent out your frustrations. Some things will not help you.

“What happened the other day (with Sifuna) is not right. When you get home listen to a song by Jamaican reggae artiste Jacob Miller who says, “please Mr Officer, cool down your temper,” said Kingi.

Last week on Friday there was drama at the funeral of Mombasa Deputy Governor William Kingi’s father after Jumwa cut short Sifuna’s speech.

Jumwa accused Sifuna of talking politics during the funeral and asked him to respect the Mijikenda.?

Sifuna stated that he had been sent to represent NASA leader Raila Odinga at the sendoff ceremony but things quickly went south when he started explaining why Jumwa was expelled from ODM.

He stressed that the party should be respected and Jumwa was far from pleased by his sentiments.

“As a messenger, I request to be given the respect the party leader would have been accorded. I have party responsibilities, and I do them without fear or favour. Sifuna did not make the law, and I am not targeting anybody,” he said.

Jumwa quickly walked up to him and grabbed the microphone saying she would not allow politicking at the funeral.

“We are not here for ODM politics but to condole with the bereaved. We shall not allow this; respect the Mijikenda.

“Find another platform and speak about issues relating to ODM. We are here to mourn the dead and not politics,” she said amid cheers from the mourners.
