For children, who do not always understand the health consequences of their eating habits, junk food may appear more 'attractive

According to “Kids Health Club” magazine, junk food can affect a child’s physical development

Today's childhood is affected by many innovative changes such as lifestyle, social media and technology.

Today we will talk about junk food - that present-day children really love.

Junk food can be appealing for a variety of reasons including convenience, price and taste.

For children, who do not always understand the health consequences of their eating habits, junk food may appear more 'attractive'.

However, regular consumption of junk food can be addictive for children and lead to complications like obesity, chronic illness, low self-esteem and even depression, as well as affecting how they perform in school and extracurricular activities.

According to “Kids Health Club” magazine, junk food can affect a child’s physical development in detrimental ways, including unhealthy weight gain, which can result in self-esteem problems.

Low self-esteem can lead to consequences like depression.

Also, according to the journal “American Family Physician,” depression - which can be very dangerous for children -- has negative impacts on growth and development, performance in school and social relationships and can ultimately lead to suicide.

The increasing trend of junk food/fast food should be a cause of concern for parents, but today, they are the ones who encourage children to have junk food to save their time.

Nowadays, kids lock themselves in their rooms and play video games while indulging in junk food.

As parents, we need to change this, not only to improve their social skills but also to ensure they are in good health by eating the right foods with nutrients that will help them develop.
