According to the computer, while Liverpool will take the title - collecting 101 points

Elsewhere, Arsenal will claim fifth on goal difference ahead of their London rivals Chelsea

Manchester United face Liverpool on Sunday, two months on from Jose Mourinho's horrendous finale at Anfield.

The Red Devils have been flying under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since his return as caretaker boss and find themselves back in the top four fight.

Still unbeaten domestically under the Norwegian, United have dropped just two points from a possible 27 to surge ahead of rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Now a Football Web Pages supercomputer has had a go at calculating each team's potential results from their remaining fixtures - and for United fans, it makes for very good reading.

According to the computer, while Liverpool will take the title - collecting 101 points - and leave Manchester City in second, it will be Solskjaer's men who take the final Champions League spot.

United are currently on 51 points with 12 games remaining, one point clear of both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Yet they are expected to land another 23 points between now and the end of the season, sealing a top-four finish three points clear of their rivals.

They're expected to taste defeat in the Premier League under Solskjaer for the first time - in fact, it's reckoned they'll lose on three separate occasions - but that won't be enough to stop them being back in the Champions League next term.

That would have been scarcely believable when things were going disastrously wrong under Mourinho during the first half of the campaign.

But if it does come to fruition, it would almost certainly be enough to earn the Norwegian caretaker the top job on a full-time basis.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will claim fifth on goal difference ahead of their London rivals Chelsea, Spurs will take home a massive 85 points in third, while Wolves will pip Watford to seventh spot.

It's bad news for Huddersfield Town at the other end however, expected to finish bottom of the table with a meagre 12 points.

Cardiff City and Fulham, the two newly-promoted sides, are both tipped for the drop also, with Burnley finishing four points clear in 17th.
