Legislator sets eyes on post after Murathe exit

On Thursday we reported that a section of politicians is relishing the controversy stirred by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ally David Murathe, regarding the political future of DP William Ruto.

Ex-lawmakers for the past few days have been on an overdrive addressing one press conference to another as they swear the allegiance to President Kenyatta.

Well, it now appears that a number of MPs are jostling to replace Mr. Murathe, who resigned as the Jubilee Vice chairperson.

A renowned legislator from Western Kenya yesterday shocked his colleagues, after he offered himself for the post.

“I am a veteran politician and I have served the party well. I more than suited to replace Murathe,” the MP told his fellow colleagues in parliament.
