The mother-of-four was found stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest
Ms Hall's aunt, Robin Coney, said the poultry farmer was first assaulted inside her home and then staggered outside
Two sisters aged just 14 and 12 stabbed and shot their mum to death because she took away their mobile phones, police say.
Amariyona Hall and her younger sister, who cannot be named due to her age, were arrested on Friday on suspicion of the murder of 32-year-old Erica Hall.
The mother-of-four was found stabbed multiple times and shot once in the chest, authorities say.
It's believed a knife remained in her back as she died on the ground at the home in Magnolia, Mississippi.
Police, who have named Amariyona Hall and even released her mugshot, said the girls were unhappy their mum took their phones away as a punishment.
They supposedly also attempted to run their mum over in a violent revenge spree.
Erica Hall was discovered with multiple stab wounds
Pike County Sheriff Kenny Cotton said: “They found out the daughters — two teenagers, juveniles — allegedly did it.
“They’re charged with murder and we’re going to apply the law.”
The car incident happened days before Ms Hall's death.
Speaking to the McComb Enterprise Journal, the sheriff added: “With something like that, she should have made charges and had them arrested then.
“I can’t imagine what’s going on inside their minds to process that. A mum is a mum no matter what.”
Ms Hall's aunt, Robin Coney, said the poultry farmer was first assaulted inside her home and then staggered outside.
Amariyona Hall, who has been charged as an adult, is being held on $150,000 (£116,000) bond at the Pike County Jail. She’s due to return to court for a preliminary hearing on January 29.
The younger sister is also being held in custody, at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Centre.
