How MPs misuse personal assistants

The Grapevine yesterday came face to face with the mistreatment Members of Parliament subject their personal assistants to.

A lawmaker yesterday turned up for a committee meeting but before he could settle for business dispatched his Personal Assistant to go check where the washrooms are.

“Enda uangalia penye choo iko alafu ukuje uniite” (go check where the loos are then come call me).

The poor soul did as was instructed and within a minute or so came back and directed the MP to the facility. The committee sitting was held outside Parliament Building.
