Dennis Itumbi’s comforting message to Jacque Maribe after court ruling

Dennis Itumbi has posted a deep message to Citizen TV journalist, Jacque Maribe who is facing murder charges.

The Director of Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communications in the office of the President tweeted this morning giving Jacque his full support in the case.

“Jacqueline Maribe, you remain in my prayers. May Justice, like many waters be done. May Monica & her family find the answers they deserve & those responsible be punished as per by law established. But may you find Justice, that you equally deserve. You got my hand of friendship” Itumbi’s tweet read. 

He tweeted this after Joseph Irungu 'Jowie' and Jacque Maribe's murder case had been pushed to Monday, October 15 when they take pleas.

The duo was today charged with the murder of South Sudan-based businesswoman Monica Kimani at her Nairobi apartment. 


Until then, Maribe is remanded at Lang'ata Women's Prison, Irungu at Industrial Area Prison, Nairobi but Justice Jessie Lessit ordered that he receive medical treatment for a wound in his chest, he says was the sustained when he was shot outside Maribe's house in Lang'ata, Nairobi.

Maribe's lawyer Katwa Kigen urged the judge to allow plea taking and stop further delays. Justice Lessit ordered that the plea be taken on Monday, October 15.
