Sharon’s family’s stern message to Obado sympathisers

The family of the late Sharon Otieno has refuted claims that it begged Migori County government for upkeep.

The deceased’s mum Melida Auma lashed out at bloggers who have been tainting the family’s image saying the allegations are not true and they do not want anything to do with the county government.

“We do not want to be involved in any way with Migori County or any of its employees.

“We have not asked for any help from them. We know some of those producing and spreading such news are Obado’s people,” she stated.

Sharon was found brutally killed in Kodera forest in Homa Bay County after she was abducted in the company of Nation journalist Barrack Oduor.

Governor Okoth Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo is currently detained as police conclude investigations into the killing of the Rongo University student.

Appearing before Judge Jessii Lesiit last week, Oyamo pleaded not guilty although the prosecution maintained that he likely played a role in executing the murder.

In his earlier statements, Oyamo claimed that he had been kidnapped and found himself at the Kisii Level 5 Hospital being treated.

Hospital records revealed that he was never a patient at the facility on the said day.

The investigating officer stated: "The accused person played a key role in the planning and eventual execution of the deceased and her unborn child.

“The state has evidence which links the accused person and his accomplices to the commission of the heinous crime."
