Malema hits out at Kenya after Uhuru-Trump meeting

Julius Malema, leader and founder of the Economic Freedom Fighters party in South Africa, on Wednesday, took a swipe at Kenya over her close ties with the United States.

Speaking during a press conference in his home country, Malema stated that there is no ‘total independence’ in Kenya since the US still controls a huge chunk of what happens here.

“Kenya, of course, is a something different, I don’t think there is a total independence there… America has is got a huge interest in that arrangement of Kenya.

“But everywhere else in the continent we need to start doing away with those things.” said Malema.

Several publications have often blasted former British colonies where the wigs are still in existence and they have been described as ‘the most glaring symbol of colonial inheritance’.

Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga appeared to have done away with the wigs during his tenure but soon after his exit, current CJ David Maraga wore the wig when he was sworn-in, perhaps why many refer to him as conservative.
