Joho spotted driving a Ferrari and Kenyans can't keep calm

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is known for his good sense of style and sweet tooth for expensive things and he certainly does not disappoint.

In a video that did rounds on social media on Friday, ‘Sultan’ was spotted in a Ferrari. Let that sink in first.

Estimated to cost roughly Sh30,000,000, the model Joho was driving resembles the Ferrari California which is a two-door convertible.

Powered by a front-mid mounted naturally aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine, the model was launched in 2008 and was considered one of the landmark cars for Ferrari.

This is not the first time a Kenyan leader has been spotted driving an expensive machine as Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko recently almost brought some city roads to a standstill as he moved around in his convertible.

At the time, security personnel attached to him had a hard time keeping his supporters at bay as he drove in his Mercedes Benz.

Live broadcast posted on Sonko’s Facebook page showed security holding back hawkers as people tried to get close to the governor.

In a few instances, melees ensued the governor’s security detail worked to clear his path which occasionally got blocked by supporters.
