DPP Haji asked to vie for Presidency

The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has been a busy man in recent days and following his swift responses to issues via social media, Kenyans now want him to be the next President.

When a clip of David Nzomo assaulting his wife did rounds on social media, Haji called for the immediate arrest of the man and a few days later he was sentenced.

Another video of a woman beating up a man drew his attention a fortnight ago and the DPP again asked for investigations to be launched into the matter.

On Sunday, Haji was at it again after an investigative feature revealed that Makau Musyoki, 27, died under mysterious circumstances next to their homestead in Kangundo, Machakos County.

It later emerged that there might have been ill motive in his murder as police investigations revealed that the deceased’s uncle, Evans Kasyoki, was the prime suspect who orchestrated his murder in order to receive a compensation of Sh9m – having been listed as a beneficiary in Musyoki’s life insurance policy.

The DPP quickly took to Twitter stating: “The DPP attention has been drawn to a news feature appearing on @citizentvkenya prime time news in regard to the Kangundo incident.

“Due to the nature of the case, the DPP has directed that immediate legal steps be taken to ensure justice is done. @DCI_Kenya”.

Kenyans lauded this move and even teased him with the idea of running for the Presidency once his term as DPP is over.

Here are the reactions:
