The Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do Federation has had its regional grading in Nairobi after a series of seminars and training.

Successful candidates were subjected to technical and written exams to test their abilities before being graded in various categories.

The members of the judging panel were National Vice Chairman Anuro Makanga, Secretary General Hilary Wahanda, and Senior Instructor Evans Owino. Hygiene, discipline, the basics of the sport, form, sparring as well as level of knowledge in the written exam formed the key areas observed by the judges.

The judging panel said it was impressed by the participants, noting that the standards were above par with the lowest applicant for the yellow belt recording an average of 62 per cent. One of the trainees, Jackline Njeri, was promoted to a green with a blue stripe belt.  [Standard Sports]
