National and East Africa hockey champions Sinyolo Girls will be seeking a seventh regional title when they play Nyamira Girls in the finals of the Nyanza Region Term One Games at St Mary’s School, Yala.
Sinyolo qualified for the final after seeing off Kisumu Girls 5-0 in a one-sided encounter.
Candy Valarie and Maureen Owiti scored two goals each with Stephanie Rebecca adding the final and fifth goal to seal the fate of Kisumu Girls.
Sinyolo had also defeated Kisumu 2-1 during the Kisumu County Games to book a slot in the regional games.
In the other semi, Nyamira Girls beat Kereri 3-0 with captain Daughty Ranga leading from the front by scoring the opener before Sheryn Daughty and Jedrin Angao scored a goal each for the Siaya based side to set up a final against Sinyolo.
Meanwhile, national girls handball champions Sega Girls booked a slot into the finals after beating Kisumu-based Kirembe High School 35-17.
The Siaya County based side, Sega, will play Homa Bay champions Msare, who beat Nyamanga 19-10 to qualify for the finals.
In the boys’ category Maseno School take on defending champions Kanyawanga High School from Rongo.
Maseno beat Barding 25-24 to qualify for the finals while Kanyawanga saw off Magongo Ribe 42-24 in the other semi-final.
