Raila has the upper hand, says Mutahi Ngunyi after the Raila-Uhuru handshake

Controversial political analyst Professor Mutahi Ngunyi has recently aired out his latest opinion on NASA leader Raila Odinga's handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier this month.

According to Ngunyi, the handshake that took place at the Harambee House, Nairobi between the two political leaders had no deal sealed and Kenyans should expect more from Raila Odinga than president Kenyatta.

He further highlighted that Uhuru will not deny whatever opposition chief Raila Odinga will have to say about the deal concluding that only Raila had an upper hand out of the meeting.

"Raila left HARAMBEE HOUSE without a DEAL. It was a BLANK Cheque. He will INVENT the DEAL slowly. And Uhuru CANNOT deny what RAILA will SAY about the DEAL. Raila has the UPPER hand. My 89th Column," Ngunyi said in a tweet on Monday.

Earlier, Mutahi Ngunyi had said that Raila Odinga will use the March 9 handshake to make demands from the government. He advised President Kenyatta not to trust Raila Odinga as much citing that all he ever wanted is power for himself without sharing.

The handshake was meant to unite Kenyans following the deep and wide political rift that had been gaining ground in Kenya especially after the August 8 general elections.
