Kenyans on social media send heartfelt wishes to Raila on his birthday

Kenyans on social media joined hands on January 7 to wish national super alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga a happy birthday. Raila, who reached 73 years in 2018 received messages from fellow leaders and supporters as well.

His birthday comes at the height of political uncertainty as his supporters wait for him to swear himself in as the people’s president. Raila has mentioned a date for the twice-postponed event at the end of the month.

Raila received a surprise birthday cake early on Sunday from Western NASA leaders prior to the Kakamega People's Assembly meeting.

The cake's decoration included a fist, the symbol of National Resistance Movement (NRM), a movement Raila started in an attempt to refuse the outcome of October 26 presidential repeat elections.

Kenyans on twitter shook the platform with leaders wishing him all the best on his birthday.
